For those who might have not have seen this yet, this is Yuzuru Hanyu’s skate for Japan last night at the 2014 Olympics. He scored a 97.98 on this skate, and currently sits in 1st place!
This is one of the best skates I’ve ever seen and I had to share!
AN INSANELY GOOD MASHUP OF MELTDOWN AND OUTER SCIENCE.

A conversation between a Raven and a Snowy Owl.
It looks like the raven really wants the owl to leave and is trying to intimidate it, but the owl doesn’t care because it knows the raven is all bark and no bite. Or all squawk and no peck. Erm…
Actually, it looks more like the raven is curious about the funny bird and wants to sit next to it, and the owl doesn’t wanna be friends :[ The raven’s body language isn’t aggressive at all — it’s backing down appropriately when the owl displays aggression. Notice the way it’s careful to draw back every time it gets too close to the owl. This is an animal that’s trying to establish it isn’t a threat.
Keep in mind there’s a huge intellect disparity here — ravens exhibit novel tool use and complex communication, whereas owls aren’t even as smart as ducks. We’re sort of trained to view crows and ravens as villainous, but really they’re very playful animals.
"HI YOU’RE PRETTY WANNA BE FRIENDS??"
there is a BEAUTIFUL irony here in that the raven is smart as hell and the owl (which are usually portrayed as wise) is actually pretty dumb

McDonalds Canada debunks the ‘pink goo’ myth and shows how McNuggets are actually made.
THIS IS HOW YOU DO TRANSPARENCY. EVERY MAJOR FOOD DISTRIBUTOR SHOULD HAVE ONE OF THESE FOR LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE FOOD ITEM THEY MAKE.
Well fuck me. I’ll admit I was a ‘pink goop believer’ until just now. Go McDs!
I know it said it at the end of the video, but just in case you didn’t see it, McDonald’s Canada has a great program called Our Food, Your Questions where, just like in this video, the company answers questions about the food we serve.
It addresses a lot of the common misconceptions people have about McDonald’s food that might keep them from trying it. There are so many documentaries about the shady side of the food industry, and the fact that McDonald’s Canada shows you exactly what you’re getting for your money is really great!!
